Team for Sevilla 2nd leg.
There's been much to admire about the spirit of the last couple of performances, which gives some hope for this game. But make no mistake, Sevilla are a tidy outfit and will be a very tough opponent. They should also have one or two injured stars available again, but on the other hand, I'm sure I read somewhere that Ocampos is suspended for this one because of the yellow card he picked up in the first leg.

As for us, if the injuries to Antonio and Cresswell prevent them from playing then we will probably start with the side that finished against Villa. But my understanding from reading around is that Cresswell is ok, Antonio has a chance but Bowen is out. Vlasic should also be available but I would expect Benrahma to keep his place.

Now you know this negative cunt is on a wind up.

Thursday is the most important game of the season so far and of the remaining confirmed fixtures. If we win it, the next round becomes the most important, its a simple as that.

Thursday's performance has a big factor on the mood going into Sunday. Not necessarily the result, but the performance.

I have no idea how we are going to win on Thursday and go through but I hope the management find a way along with the players.

Liverpool and Villa have shown us some alternative approaches.

Does have the feel of chickens coming home to roost as its a fair chance Bowen, Antonio & Cresswell will miss out along with Coufal and of course Ogbonna.
Its all a bit BARE BONES.

I had no idea how good it would be and to feel watching West Ham play a club like Seville away in a Europa league knock out.

I’ve never given much credibility to the competition due to fact I could never see us qualifying for it.

After watching that the other day I want regular European football.

Thursday is massive, I’m so hopeful we can do a job and win the tie - really don’t want the adventure to end. It’s going to be really tough but we can do it.

I think we need a siege mentality in the team and in the stands and just everyone give everything.

If we do go out we have to try everything to get 6th and qualify again.

Even 7th and qualify for that conference league - the teams in the knockout stages of that are decent, there’s Roma, Marseille, PSV, Feyenoord, Slavia Prague.

We can still get 6th though.

Yep. That means one of either ourselves, Spurs or Wolves will be missing out on a European position.

So no time to rest any players, full strength for every game, which is basically what Moyes has alluded to.

Says the silly cunt who wants Yarmolenko to play every game. European football is needed next season, our best chance of getting that is through the league. Imo we have near on no chance of winning this competition from now on in.

Hardest game left in tournament.

WTF is the point of priotising qualifying for next season if you're not going to take it seriously on the season you're in??

Seville drew on the weekend against Rayo Vallecano (who?!) who were at home. Not really looked into it but from what people have said, they aren't as strong away so I really fancy us to win this one and take it to at least pens.

Strongest team starts, including Fab who had a really good game against Villa. I am assuming Bowen is out otherwise he comes in for Benrahma.

If Cresswell is out then Fredricks comes in on right with Jonhson on left.

Johnson Dawson Zouma Cresswell
Soucek Rice
Fornals Lanzini Benrahma
Antonio

I wouldn't actually mind Fredricks and Masuaku playing wingbacks with Johnson as 3rd cb and dropping Benrahma. It would give us some pace which we missed against them in the first leg. However, I can't see Moyes changing our shape for the biggest game of our season without trying it first.

It's an interesting suggestion, but I absolutely shudder to think what their right flank would do with Masuaku. Most of their chances seem to come from out there and cutting in on the left to whip a ball between the centrebacks.

I think it might be a better strategy if they bunker in and we are still down a goal in the second half.

Re: Team for Sevilla 2nd leg.
If Bowen, Antonio and Vlasic are all out, fuck knows who plays up front. Yarmalenko has hardly trained, he won’t have 90 mins in him.

People say Okoflex is ineligible so that leaves Sonny Perkins.

Can Kral play up top?

It’s so bad it’s laughable.

Dandy Lyon 11:48 Mon Mar 14
Re: Team for Sevilla 2nd leg.
Yarmolenko takes up better positions as a striker than Antonio, just doesn’t have the speed. Much of a much easier really.

I think Moyes will play Soucek as striker before he plays Perkins.

Hopefully the fight we’ve shown in last couple of games will turn into goals. More likely now Antonio is out, but still not very likely.
